Adelaide Health Centre has been developed on the site of the Western Community Hospital campus and provides local residents with a on-stop-shop facility to access a range of healthcare services from a single convenient location at the heart of their community.
Antelope House Adult Mental Health Unit has been purpose built to provide a safe, peaceful and well equipped environment for both staff and service users. There are 60 in-patient beds, with every bedroom being en-suite. Patient facilities include a gym, multi-faith sanctuary and courtyard gardens off every ward.
The secure mental health environment presents challenges to the provision of safe facilities management services. Everything from fixtures and fittings, to the way in which staff behave and carry out works, has been examined in great detail. This led SGP to develop a solution that protects staff, patients and the building, with working practices strictly observed to minimise the possibility of upset and harm.
