Inverness Airport
Inverness Airport is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands and welcomes over 700,000 passengers a year to the region. The airport is operated by Highlands & Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) who appointed SGP to provide its friendly face. Our facilities management service includes:
- Terminal management
- Management of airport concessions
- Information desk services and updating of flight information
- Mechanical & electrical and building fabric maintenance
- Cleaning and waste management
- Landscaping, snow clearing and gritting
- Maintenance of airport specific equipment
- Switchboard
- Utilities management
The airport's location does mean that flights are sometimes affected by adverse weather or clouds of another kind (ash!). This often calls on our on-site teams’ flexibility, sometimes looking after passengers throughout the night. This has even seen them throw a new year’s eve party in the terminal building, allowing stranded passengers to celebrate Hogmanay in true Highland fashion!
