Our intelligent property and facilities management solutions are underpinned by systems and processes that drive, manage and support everything we and our service partners do.

We have guidance on every task we undertake, from answering a call in our contact centre to co-ordinating a multi-million pound construction project. This isn't micro-management, just a framework to ensure every customer benefits from best practice, every time we do something.

By having repeatable services we then gather information, interrogate and report. Our systems give us the data that enables informed decisions to be made.

Purchasing and supplier management

A facilities management solution from SGP comes with 20 years experience of managing service partners. We have a comprehensive knowledge base of hard and soft FM services, and the people that provide them. Our unique procurement approach enables us to make cost effective services available to all, leveraging total customer spend and managing performance.

Supplier selection starts with making sure we are working with people who can do the job, and can do it safely. We only work with suppliers who have reached at least the minimum criteria required by the award winning Altius Vendor Assurance programme.

Once appointed, bespoke IT systems allow us to co-ordinate service delivery and track performance of service partners across customer sites, regions and contracts. Real time systems give complete transparency to performance and measurement can be tailored to track the things most important to you.

Supply chain assurance

Customers rely on us to provide safe and reliable services. We in turn rely on our service partners to deliver these services time after time. To do this we need to be 100% sure of our suppliers capabilities.

With over 1000 suppliers we enlisted the expertise of Altius Vendor Assurance to work with us to develop an industry leading supplier assessment system that could ultimately be utilised by others.

Since its introduction 2 years ago, the system has 95% of SGP's suppliers meeting at least the minimum requirements and has won the BIFM Innovation in Systems and Technology award.

Contract management

We provide property and facilities management services to customers with a diverse range of properties that support wide ranging activities. We have in place a comprehensive account management manual that outlines what needs to be done for specific facilities management tasks.

The manual provides the base set of guidelines from which each set of local site instructions are developed. This flexible approach ensures that best practice procedures are shared across all customer sites but you don't end up with a dictated, inflexible set of rules.

Health & Safety, Quality and Environment

As you would expect from a company that manages over £1bn of property related customer spend, all of our activities are certified to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO14001(Environmental Management) and OHSAS18001 (Health & Safety Management) standards.

These management system frameworks ensure that everything we are responsible for complies with statutory and legislative requirements but also contain the guidance for us to carry out the tasks you need us to.
