Property & facilities management companies are responsible for much of the built environment and at SGP we strive to do the right thing. We recognise the responsibilities we have towards our employees, shareholders, customers and the planet, encouraging positive action to make things better.

From turning the lights off to treating each other with respect, we have sets of standards that guide each of us in our daily business activities, helping to ensure that everyone and everything we come into contact with has a positive experience.

We are committed to the continuous improvement of our corporate social responsibility programme and encourage our business partners to strive for matching performance. Comprehensive guidelines outline what we expect in terms of honesty, integrity and fairness in all exchanges.

Community

Across our business we support the communities within which we work, participating in schemes to assist people back in to work, sponsoring local sports clubs & activities and involving staff in charitable pursuits. SGP's nominated charity is Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People and we actively encourage staff to give time towards fundraising efforts and activities, with the Company matching every pound raised.

Carbon reduction

Just as we are continuously working to reduce our carbon footprint, we work with our customers to assist them in reducing theirs. Non-domestic buildings make up about 20% of the UK's carbon emissions. Property and facilities management companies can make a difference through the efficient running of these buildings. Our focus on both working practices and capital spend programmes is allowing many clients to reduce carbon emissions and energy spend, both now and into the future.
